LONDON -(Dow Jones)- BP PLC (BP) has registered to get an oil services contract with Iraq, the U.K. oil giant's chief executive said Tuesday, adding he met the country oil minister recently. Speaking at a press conference, Tony Hayward said "we have registered for the TSA (technical services agreement)" currently being tendered. He said he "met the Iraq minister in the last few weeks" and is in "dialogue on how to support the development of the Iraq oil industry." He said "we want to move forward with a formal technical service agreement," though he added a final decision to invest will depend on political developments and security.
