G7: Sees Need For Urgent, Exceptional Action On Crisis

By Maya Jackson Randall Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Finance officials and central bankers of the Group of Seven leading industrial nations Friday said they will take "urgent and exceptional action" to address the global credit crunch and that they would use all tools available to save systemically important financial firms from collapse. The G7, in its statement, said members are committed to continue working together to stabilize the markets, restore the flow of credit and support global economic growth.
