The Citgo Corpus Christi refinery East plant restarted a fluid catalytic unit for maintenance Thursday after the unit was shut earlier in the week, according to a state environmental filing. A fluid catalytic cracker will undergo 10 days of maintenance starting Thursday at the Borger refinery in Borger, Texas, according to a state environmental filing. The 146,000 barrel a day refinery is a joint venture between ConocoPhillips and Encana Corp. The Conocophillips Sweeny refinery in Texas, reported a snag with the regenerator flue gas stack at its fluid catalytic cracker, according to a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The opacity event occurred at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday. "At the time of this event, there had been no adverse operational conditions," the refinery said in the report.
