Algeria, Niger and Nigeria agreed Friday to build a $10 billion trans-Sahara pipeline that will bring gas from Nigeria to Algeria's coast before it is shipped to Europe.
In an interview with Dow Jones Newswires, Chakib Khelil said state-owned "NNPC (Nigerian National Petroleum Corp.) will search for gas in Algerian deposits," while Algeria will explore Nigerian reservoirs.
He added the accord also included production.
