Alstom Wins Casablanca Tram Contract; Value May Reach EUR190 Million
According to the contract, which could reach a value of EUR190 million over 15 years including options and maintenance, the French company will provide 74 Citadis trams to Casa Transports, the local public transport operator.
Alstom Transport will supply the vehicles coupled in double units of 65 meters total, a configuration similar to the transets currently under construction for Rabat, the kingdom's capital.
The trams are slated to enter service in December 2012, the company said.
