Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) on Wednesday named David Zinsner as its new chief financial officer.
Zinsner will replace Joseph McDonough, who is set to retire.
McDonough, who became the chip maker's CFO in 1991, will continue to serve as an executive advisor until Dec. 31, 2009, "in order to ensure a successful transition and complete ongoing special projects," the company said.
Zinsner, who has served as CFO of Intersil Corp. (ISIL) since 2005, will take over his new post on Jan. 12, 2009.
In a prepared statement, ADI President and Chief Executive Jerald Fishman said Zinsner's "knowledge of the semiconductor industry, combined with his broad-ranging financial expertise, will be instrumental as we drive towards ADI's long-term objectives for growth and profitability."
