ArcelorMittal Keen To Cooperate With Chinese Cos On Iron Ore
"We have iron ore resources in our portfolio, and China is the biggest iron ore importer," Verstappen said on the sidelines of the Global Think Tank Summit in Beijing. "There is a potential chance for cooperation for both sides."
Asked if the group is in talks Chinese mills, Verstappen said, "I don't think this will happen soon."
ArcelorMittal is the second-largest shareholder in Hunan Valin Steel Tube & Wire Co. (000932.SZ), the listed unit of Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Group Co., with a stake of 33%.
