Argentine auto production was down 13.1% in June from the same month a year ago, but was up 4.1% on the month, Adefa said.
Car makers produced 44,527 cars in June, compared with 51,249 a year earlier. Production is well up from the low of 14,903 in February.
Exports from Argentina rose again in June, up 0.5% to 29,361 from 29,216 a year earlier and up 11% from 26,344 in May.
Sales to car dealerships fell 18% on the year to 42,965 units, versus 52,208 a year ago, but were up 5.1% from 40,872 in May.
Adefa represents 10 foreign car manufacturers with operations in Argentina, including U.S., European and Japanese companies.
