Dodd To Hold Confirmation Hearings Jan. 15 For SEC, Fed, CEA
Mary Schapiro, the current CEO at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, was nominated last month by President-elect Barack Obama to be chairman of the SEC. Daniel Tarullo, a professor at Georgetown University, has been nominated to the Federal Reserve Board.
In addition to Schapiro and Tarullo, the committee will hold confirmation hearings for Christina Romer, Austan Goolsbee and Cecilia Rouse. All three have been nominated to the Council of Economic Advisors.
