Consolidated net profit for the July-September quarter rose to INR2.17 billion from INR1.05 billion a year earlier.
Consolidated revenue increased 14% to INR18.37 billion from INR16.15 billion.
The numbers conform to International Financial Reporting Standards, the company said.
The average of estimates in a Dow Jones Newswires poll of 10 analysts was for a net profit of INR1.93 billion.
The company didn't immediately provide a reason for the rise in profit.
