Hungary Fin Min: Adoption Of Euro Is A Priority For Hungary
"The issue of adopting the euro is still a priority for Hungary," Oszko said, adding that he didn't want to give a timeframe but work hard on the matter instead.
Concerning the euro-forint exchange rate, Oszko noted that the fluctuation has subsided and the range of the cross is within acceptable boundaries.
"Perhaps partly as a result of our exercise, the rate has stabilized," Oszko said.
The forint weakened significantly versus the euro recently, with the euro spiking to over HUF283 late Monday. It has since settled around current levels at HUF277.
