"We are not conservative. We are reflecting what our clients are telling us," V. Balakrishnan told reporters on the sidelines of a company event.
Earlier this month, Wipro Ltd., India's third-largest software exporter by revenue, said it expects a 2% to 3% rise in technology spending from its U.S. clients in 2010.
Balakrishnan said also that Infosys is looking for a strategic fit for acquisitions.
"It is not a question of valuation. Acquisition is not for adding revenue," he added.
