New CEO Ludlam Appointed To Australian Ship Builder ASC - Min
Ludlam has "extensive experience in the construction and maintenance of both submarines and surface ships," the finance minister said in a statement.
For the past 25 years, Ludlam has held a number of senior management and engineering positions with U.K.-based Rolls Royce Group PLC (RR.LN).
"With his experience, Mr. Ludlam will be able to assist the ASC position itself for a significant role in the designing and building of the 12 future submarines announced by the government in the Defense White Paper," Tanner said, referring to a government blueprint for future defense capability published earlier this year.
Ludlam will take up his five-year term in January.
