The suspension at the Obama flow station in the Nembe area - owned by Eni as well as other companies - follows an attack to siphon off oil, the spokesman said.
According to the Nigerian military, the attack occurred Friday.
Eni's stake in the output suspension is 2,400 barrels a day.
Production has been halted while tests are being carried out, the spokesman said, without providing a timeframe for the resumption of output.
