Stamford, Conn.-based Stringer returns to the U.S. after a two-year stint in London as head of sales for Northern Trust's Corporate and Institutional Services in Scandinavia and Finland. She has been with Northern Trust since 1998.
Northern Trust's Personal Financial Services business, which includes the trust company's ultra-high-end Wealth Management Group, had $288 billion in assets in custody and $132 billion under management at the end of 2008 for a record-year take of $909 million in fees. The unit has 85 offices in the U.S. and offices in London and Guernsey in the Channel Islands. It's been on the ground in Connecticut since 2004.
Firm-wide, Chicago-based Northern Trust had $3.6 trillion in assets in custody and managed $611 billion at the end of September.
