More than 500 passengers arrived in the French capital more than five hours late due to what Eurostar and Eutotunnel said was damaged track. Rail service among Paris, London and Brussels saw delays of one to three hours.
The latest incident comes three weeks after acts of vandalism caused lengthy delays to Eurostar and other high-speed train services between Paris and the northern French city of Lille.
That came a week after TGV services to western France were disrupted for up to six hours in the Paris region when gunshots were blamed for a broken catenary, or overhead wire.
Last month, the French railway company SNCF estimated that it needed to invest EUR400 million over four years to renovate the catenaries on its network.
In mid-September a fire on a freight train in the channel tunnel hampered Eurostar service for a weekend.
