WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House does not expect to complete on Wednesday night a final deal with Congress on bailing out the U.S. automakers, said White House spokeswoman Dana Perino.
"We do not expect a final deal on legislation tonight," she told Reuters. Bush administration officials, including Vice President Dick Cheney and Chief of Staff Josh Bolten, spent Wednesday afternoon meeting with Republicans to discuss the bailout.
