Nanya President: Studying 20-NM Chipmaking Technology With Micron
- TAIPEI -(Dow Jones)- Nanya Technology Corp. (2408.TW) is studying developing 20-nanometer advanced processing technology for memory chips with Micron Technology Inc. (MU), Nanya President Jih Lien said Wednesday. Lien, who was speaking at a lunch meeting with the press, didn't elaborate. Micron Technology and Nanya Technology said in February they plan to use 42-nanometer technology to make memory chips from the second half of this year. The company is also working on developing DRAM chips for mobile devices such as smartphones, Lien said.
